Ha-jah is the last of twelve minor cities of the southern continent – all found between Padora and the Temple of Travellers' Repose, and all north of the equator – which the greatly-reduced Black Company rapidly passed through in Shadow Games. This occurred during their southward journey toward their fabled origin of Khatovar after the Battle of the Barrowland.
Viege is the nearest city to its north, and the Temple of Travellers' Repose is found somewhere south of it.
Croaker records nothing distinctive about Ha-jah in his Annals except that: it was the last of four cities that were beyond any map he had ever seen (the others being Boros, Teries, and Viege); it was known to him only through the Company's Annals since the historical Black Company had passed through this region more than a century before; and, it had been visited only by One-Eye previously.
