Irmelyn is a moredhel in Betrayal at Krondor. He appears in Chapter 4 and also figures in the game's novelization, Krondor: The Betrayal.
Overview
At The Giant's Broth in Armengar, the party finds Irmelyn furious and despairing, ranting that Delekhan's futile campaign will destroy the Northlands and cursing the Six for inciting him to it. Gorath criticizes him sharply for letting drink overcome his discretion, but offers advice as one who has survived Delekhan's wrath. Learning that the Six have thrown Obkhar to Venutrier of Lan, he offers to help Obkhar escape, and Irmelyn offers the equivalent of half Owyn's weight in gold for the rescue, assuring Gorath that even Obkhar's tribe alone would pay as much to ransom him. Telling Irmelyn to retrieve the ransom, Gorath promises to return after freeing Obkhar. If the party speaks to him again before doing so, Gorath assures him that his friend will soon be free.
After the rescue, Irmelyn confirms that Obkhar, arriving earlier and describing his rescuers, insisted that they deserved the 200-sovereign reward. Gorath drily implies that Irmelyn's life would have been forfeit if he had kept it for himself. If the party has not yet visited the witch Cullich, Gorath asks for news of her; Irmelyn has heard that she fled to an area "south of Caern and west of the fork which leads to Wyke, and is probably there healing Delekhan's troops.
With their business concluded, Gorath wishes Irmelyn good health and fortune and the party departs.

Trivia
- Upon nearing the Naphtha Mines in the game, Gorath mentions them as the naphtha caves of which Irmelyn had spoken, although he himself was first to mention the mines during their conversation.
- Although Irmelyn's sprite remains at the Giant's Broth after the party receive the reward, it remains only as a standard dismissive NPC.
