Sergeant (Andrew)

Sergeant is one of the two starter towers of the game, along with Sniper, that is given to all players by default. Sergeant is a tower that is mainly used to deal with the early waves of Voids, especially with its level 3 and 4 upgrade, but can also be used to deal extremely high DPS to Voids for a short amount of time, especially to bosses. Although his ability can be used to deal with dense hordes of Voids, once it is on cooldown the base stats of the higher levels are expensive for the price, and should be considered. It should also be noted that he does not scale well with Endless and its scaling Voids. Sergeant is a part of the Ruby Tribe.

Longer Pulse Range: Sergeant's ability affects 2 more Sergeants. Price: 1

Upgraded Guns: Sergeant's deal 1 extra damage on all levels. Price: 3

Upgrade Descriptions:

• Level 1 - Longer Range: Increases aiming skill, being able to shoot further.
• Level 2 - Sharper Rounds: Upgraded rounds deal extra damage to enemies.
• Level 3 - Laser Gun: Upgrades to a Laser Gun, which shots can now pierce through multiple enemies. Also detects hidden enemies.
• Level 4 - Double Gun: Lasers can damage lead enemies, and dual wielding allows for twice the fire rate.
• Level 5 - Laser Overclock: Ability: Overclocks 10 nearby Laser Guns from other Sergeants including itself for 10 seconds, dealing extreme damage. 35 second cooldown.
• Master Upgrade - Ultra-Ruby Pulse: Overclock becomes much stronger and affects up to 15 Laser Guns.

Tactics

• Despite this tower being slower, it is a viable option for early game with it's higher damage.
• The abilities promote farming as the more Sergeants you have, the better the buffs are utilized.
• Spamming this tower is also a viable strategy to beating things like the Black Blizzard Boss.
• Usage of the level 5 and 6 ability can easily take down bosses such as the early waves of the Inferno Boss and its Decoys, but however struggles without the ability against basic Voids.

Trivia

• For a very long time since Ballistic days, Billie would misspell Sergeant as 'Sargent'. Sometimes glitching out or loading in with Slow Wi-Fi and placing a tower may still show Sargent. ^[2]
• The Darling Skin was meant as an undercover disguise to go and infiltrate the Amethyst tribe by Andrew, for the Ruby Queen.
• Very old versions of the Sergeant likely contained code from a free model pistol by user UristMcSparks. ^[3]
