"Sprivy" is the second segment of the eleventh episode of the third season of Amphibia, and the ninety-fourth episode overall.
It premiered on March 26, 2022, alongside "Commander Anne".
Synopsis
Sprig and Ivy devise a scheme to be together.[1]
Plot

Underground Wartwood's happiest couple is Sprig and Ivy, who are prancing around hand in hand annoying the townsfolk. When they attend a mission meeting, Sasha, Anne, and Grime inform everyone present that a wealthy Amphibian has agreed to provide the resistance with much needed supplies, but the only way into the valley is blocked by a giant laser cannon which is protected by a shield generator, so they need to take both out. Sprig and Ivy are called upon by Sasha to join the mission along with Stumpy and Fern; Sasha has assembled teams though and it will split them up for the duration of the mission, so they concoct a scheme that will let them be together without Sasha knowing.

As the group splits away for Sasha to stand guard and give signals, Sprig shows Stumpy and Fern a forged note that says the partners shall switch per Sasha's orders, so now Sprig and Ivy can be together on the mission and they agree with it. They approach their target with relative ease, which contains a force field they are waiting to shut down. While waiting, the two practice their couples dancing in the limited amount of time that they have. Meanwhile, Stumpy and Fern have fallen into an ambush as they are both specialists who didn't know how to look out for the signs of something gone wrong. Luckily, with only a bit of time to spare, Sprig and Ivy realize that something is wrong and try to save them.
Then, and only then, do they realize that this is why Sasha had split them up. One of them would be with each specialist while they did their job and could get it done quickly. Luckily, the four are able to complete their mission successfully and meet back up with Sasha.
Sprig attempts to explain what happened to them, but she was one step ahead and already knew. However, they were able to complete the mission, so she is only "kind of" furious. Ivy and Sprig then mutually agree to keep their relationship on the down low during any future missions. Just then, Wally's father, Wigbert, arrives with the supplies for the town's army, and Ivy points out Wigbert looks like Wally as the episode ends.

- This is Hop Pop's only non-speaking appearance and Polly's second and last after "Maddie & Marcy", not counting the "True Colors" flashback in "Turning Point".
- This was the last episode, along with "Commander Anne", to be produced in 2021, according to the credits.
Revelations and significant events
- Wartwood has had enough of Sprig and Ivy wanting to be together all the time.
- Wigbert delivers supplies for Wartwood.
- Sasha is revealed to have met Wigbert off-screen, while Ivy meets him for the first time.
Continuity
- The title is a reference to the ship name that Anne gave Sprig and Ivy in "Dating Season", although, in that episode, Anne used the term "Sprigivy".
- She did use the proper ship name in "Return to Wartwood".
- This is the second episode of Season 3 that Sprig has forged a note in after "Thai Feud".
Allusions
- Gurren Lagann - Starting the episode, a drill-shaped key similar to the one used in the mecha anime series can be seen buried between the town and the tunnels.
- Sonic the Hedgehog - Sprig calls the resistance "Freedom Fighters", which is a reference to the group of the same name from the 1993 series.
- Edward Scissorhands - While talking with Stumpy, Fern wishes she had scissors for hands, a nod to the title character from the 1990 Tim Burton film and his scissor-like hands.
- Kill la Kill - Fern's giant red scissors, Cutsy, resemble the Scissor Blades.
- Peanuts - Sprig and Ivy do 2 dances from A Charlie Brown Christmas.
- Fallout - The intro of the episode references the beginning storyline of the free roam game series, where in every game everyone now lives in an underground bunker after a war bomb dropped.
