The second season of 12 oz. Mouse aired from September 2006 to December 2006. Season 2 originally premiered on September 24, 2006 with "Bowtime" and concluded on December 17, 2006 with "Prolegomenon". A total of 13 episodes were aired over the span of four months.

Production & Development

The second season of 12 oz. Mouse was originally greenlighted with over 20 episodes, according to one of Matt Maiellaro's interviews. After the first three episodes were produced, Season 2 ended up being shortened to over thirteenth episodes due to the show's cancellation.

Fitz and co. travel to Liquor's Store to get help from Liquor to fix the Eye's leg. Meanwhile, Shark cruises his car around town with the Rectangular Businessman. Roostre makes peace with a giant spider while being trapped in a web.

After cocooning Roostre and dragging him to his cave, Spider plays the song "Booger Haze" to summon Music Notes to attack Roostre's Corn Dog Farm. The Eye's leg surgery becomes a success. Shark and the Rectangular Businessman pick up the annoying Green-Sweatered Woman.

Fitz and his best friend Skillet escape and destroy Roostre's Corn Dog Farm after finding a Corn Dog rocket ship in the basement of Roostre's shack. Meanwhile, Shark tries to get his car started. The Rectangular Businessman heads to a harmonica store to buy a harmonica.

Fitz and Skillet crash into a large skyscraper and turn the Green-Sweatered Woman into a terminator styled robot. Meanwhile, Liquor performs a standup comedy routine for the Eyes. Roostre wants to destroy the town by releasing his Corn-Droid after discovering that his farm was destroyed.

Peanut Cop becomes a fireman after heading to the hat store.
7 14 "Meat Warrior" Matt Maiellaro Matt Maiellaro November 5, 2006
Peanut Cop, as a fireman, and Liquor drunk drive on a firetruck until Peanut leaves and Liquor takes control of it to reach Fitz. Meanwhile, Shark catches up to his office to meet up with the Rectangular Businessman and Clock. Pronto steals the Animal Chain from Shark's Monitor Room. Roostre takes Spider to a hidden Corn-Droid.
8 15 "Meaty Dreamy" Matt Maiellaro Matt Maiellaro November 12, 2006
After being attacked by Pronto, the Hand crawls into the brain of the Producer Man to control his body. Meanwhile, Fitz, Skillet, and Liquor use intravenous injections of meat to get to sleep.

Fitz has some dreams of himself talking to other people. Meanwhile, Pronto goes to a Graveyard to summon and give the Animal Chain to an eight-armed beast named Amalockh.

The Producer Man (with the Hand inside of his brain) reaches Fitz, Skillet, and Liquor on the top of the skyscraper. Meanwhile, Shark kidnaps Mouse's friends and starts blowing up the town.

Fitz and co. meet up with Roostre and Spider in the sewers. Meanwhile, Shark's minions wreak havoc around the town.

Fitz and co. kill Shark to free their friends and control a large jet that is shaped like a shark. The Rectangular Businessman arrives to his bank to trap The Shadowy Figure in a jar. CJ Muff is finally set free.
13 20 "Prolegomenon" Matt Maiellaro Matt Maiellaro December 17, 2006
After the presumed death of Skillet, Fitz plays some pinball at the Diner to summon Archeus. He soon wakes up in a simulation program in the real world.

Trivia

  • Unlike the first season, Season 2 of 12 oz. Mouse had its own trailer, which originally aired as a commercial back in 2006.
  • Many of these episodes originally aired in an unfinished state, with either missing pieces of dialogue or no effects for certain lighting, audio and sound.

Home Video Releases

  • Season 2, along with Season 1, was released onto the shows first and only DVD titled "12 oz. Mouse: The Movie" where the whole series was spliced together to create a movie, adding some new footage to the show as well.
  • Season 2 was added to HBO Max (now called Max) on December 31st, 2020, along with Season 1. Although the season, and the rest of the entire series, has since been removed off of there as of 2024. Prior to its removal, the episodes "Bowtime", "Surgery Circus", and "Corndog Chronicles" would remain unexpectedly missing on there.
  • Season 2 is also available on iTunes and various POV services.
