The Storch (シュトルヒ EZ-068) is an Archaeopteryx-type Zoid, a race of mechanical lifeforms from the fictional Zoids universe.
Battle Story Appearances
The Storch was developed during the original Central Continent War in order to ensure air-superiority for the Zenebas Empire, taking control of the air from the Helic Republic's Pteras. As technology progressed and Zoids became larger and more heavily armed, the Storch was relegated to recon and escorting ground troops.
After the Grand Catastrophe, the Storch fell out of use, and would not be brought back until the Neo-Zenebas Empre overthrew the Guylos Empire. Though not as powerful as the Glaive Quama and unable to match the Storm Sworder and Raynos in air-to-air combat, it was equipped with an updated computer guidance system which allowed the Storch to excel at low-altitude combat utilizing its strongest weapon, the Bird Missile. Storches modified with the Deantler's plasma blade antennae were also used to assist in commanding swarms of Fly Scissors to overwhelm the enemy.
