The Scorpear (スコーピア, Sukōpia) is a Scorpion-Type Zoid, one of over 200 species of biomechanical lifeforms depicted by TOMY's Zoids model, toy, and media franchise.

Overview

The Scorpear is a small Zoid with an open-air cockpit. Compared to other Zoids in the Zoids: Wild series, it is an S-sized Zoid.

Zoids: Wild

In Zoids: Wild, the Scorpear is known as Needle.

Needle is the partner Zoid of Battalia. It is referred to as a female Zoid.

It is revealed that Needle had been with Battalia for a long time. Her parents were Zoid mechanics, and they were repairing the Needle when they were attacked by bandits. Her parents were killed and Battalia used Needle to support a life of bounty hunting.

While she travelled with Needle for a long time, it did not bestow a Zoid Key to her until episode 17.

The Wild Blast of Needle is used by Penne in stealthy style one-hit takedowns.

In episode 37 Needle loses a claw during the battle. It isn't repaired until episode 41.

Zoids Wild ZERO

Two Scorpears appear in episode 1 of Zoids Wild ZERO. They are used by soldiers of the Empire. These Scorpears are equipped with guns on the tail and have a cockpit. They are gray/blue in colour.

Models

The Scorpear was released online by Hasbro under the Zoids: Build Them To Battle line. It used the name Needle.
