Shields of the Mind's Eye are small Sheikah-made Shields found in both East Necluda and West Necluda.[1] They also have a chance to appear in Treasure Chests that spawn when the Super Smash Bros. Series Sheik amiibo is scanned with the amiibo Rune. Shields of the Mind's Eye were designed to decrease the wielder's blind spots without sacrificing too much in the way of defense.[1] These Shields belong to the Sheikah Gear equipment archetype, a series of Weapons created by the modern Sheikah.[2]
Being made of wood, Shields of the Mind's Eye will neither conduct Electricity nor attract Lightning if they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. They will not sink if are dropped in Water, but they cannot be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune. Finally, as with all wooden shields they will burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.

The Shield of the Mind's Eye can be wielded by Link in conjunction with the Prototype Ancient Short Swords. It is exclusively available as part of the purchase bonus for the game's Expansion Pass.
