Dr. Sun Mei is a main character and discoverer of the cure for the zombie virus.
Background
A researcher from Laos. After the zombie outbreak, she and other survivors were moved to the Forbidden City in Beijing, China, where she continues to research for a cure to the ZN1 virus.

Season 3
Operation Bitemark is captured by Sun Mei and her company of Pan-Asian soldiers. She says she is on a mission to find Murphy and create a vaccine from his blood.
The group advances together towards a supply drop. In a fight with the Enders she loses her Pan-Asian soldiers and she panics. Roberta urges her to continue her mission.
After a mysterious sound Sun-Mei and all the others left at the camp vanish.
Sun-Mai is safe in Altura, and is working in the lab to create a new vaccine or a cure for the virus. After the Black Rain humans and zombie have changed. Recently deceased become Talkers rather than zombies, and Sun-Mei employ a few at her lab.
Towards the end of the season, Sun-Mei ends up finding a cure for the zombie viruses.
