Post Apocalypse
Nothing is known about how Chester survived prior the Westward-bound survivor group found his body at the CIA Black Site except that he had been in communication with Citizen Z. He likely was the last survivor of site and end his own life due to his loneliness.
He had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His head was later bashed in by Addy to make sure he wouldn’t turn into a Z.
