Spotify is a Swedish music app which allows users to stream every type of music, from popular kinds, to underground bands and artists, to anyone in between, from any genre.[1] The app was first launched on October 2008, and since then has become one of the most popular ways for people to listen to their favorite music.[2]
Spotify, along with services like Amazon Music, are often credited with helping to eliminate CD collecting from the popular conscious.[3]
Channel history
Spotify's YouTube channel was created on January 16, 2008,[4] and uploaded its first video, a live session of FosterThePeople playing their song Best Friend, on April 16, 2014.[5]
