Mysty McAllister (born: January 19, 1998 (1998-01-19) [age 27]), better known online as Mysticat is an American YouTuber and VTuber known for making videos about showcasing her bizarre creations in Minecraft.

History

Circle in Minecraft

Mysty's most notable video is the time she created a perfect circle in vanilla Minecraft without any kind of mods. The video went on to get multiple articles written about it on websites such as Minecraft, PC Gamer, Yahoo News, Yahoo Sports, Kotaku, Nerdist, GamesRadar, GameRant, Gamepressure, Aroged, TestingTrend, PCGamesN, GameRant, NME, Cracked, and more.

Mysty's Circle video has been referenced twice by Minecraft. The first of these references was made on January 1, 2022 during the video 2021 Special: Ten Things You Probably Didn't Know About Minecraft.

Mysty was referenced again in the April Fools 2023 Update when Mojang added a new cape titled "no_circles" to the game. This cape features a crossed out image of a circle with a background colored similarly to Mysticat's Minecraft skin, as seen in this video. If you apply the cape to your character the chat message reads "NO ROUND SHAPES ALLOWED!"

Shout-outs

On February 1, 2021 in PewDiePie's video "This Is Bad....", we find PewDiePie on a tangent about how much he enjoys Mysty's tutorials. This helped skyrocket Mysty from 73,000 subscribers to 100,000 subscribers over the next two weeks.

Mysty went on to receive another shout-out from PewDiePie along with more from Keralis, IBallisticSquid, DanTDM, SmallishBeans, PearlescentMoon, SB737, WadZee, Eret, Mumbo Jumbo, and many more.

Map Making

Mysty has a history of making downloadable mini-game maps for Minecraft. One of her most popular maps was played by Sky Does Everything during the peak of his YouTube success.

Twitch Rivals

In 2021, Mysty began to appear in Twitch Rivals events. Twitch Rivals is an invite-only Minecraft event hosted by Twitch where 20 teams of 4 streamers compete for a chunk of the $50,000 prize pool.

Minecraft Mondays

In 2019, Mysty was hired by UMG as a commentator and in-game camera worker for Keemstar's Minecraft Mondays tournaments. Minecraft Mondays had creators compete in various Minecraft mini-games for a $10,000 prize.

Minecraft Championship

In 2020, Mysty become a tester for Noxcrew's and Dangthatsalongname's Minecraft Championship tournament. After applying to both "viewer team seasons" where fans of the show got a chance to play in the event, Noxcrew announced that MCC Testers would no longer be allowed to participate in the event in the future. Mysty decided to leave testing after this announcement. She uploaded one video of her testing MCC. Mysty would go on to play in MCC Pride 2023, winning the same event.

Mysty has a long history with the Noxcrew, as shown from her old videos on the Noxcrew Survival Server, Noxcrew mini-game servers, and application for the original Noxcrew Gameshow. She has mentioned looking up to Noxcrew's Avondale for inspiring her to learn Command Blocks.

Block Wars

In 2020, Mysty became an active player in Block Wars. Block Wars is a competitive Minecraft tournament where players compete in 8 teams of 5 to score the most points in various mini-games.

In 2022, she joined the Block Wars team to help design games, build maps, and invite new players to the event.

Minecraft Ultimate

In 2021, Mysty participated in three of the Minecraft Ultimate 250 player charity Hunger Games tournaments.
