Andrew (born: July 13, 1995), better known online as ibxtoycat (or simply Toycat), is an English YouTuber from Bedfordshire,[1] England, who specializes in Minecraft commentary videos.
About
Andrew is predominantly known as a Minecraft console YouTuber who creates content from all editions of Minecraft (except PlayStation Vita) but uses Bedrock on Xbox One mostly. He creates factual content including secret features, future features, Let's Play, UHC, Seeds and top lists. His video outros usually feature a joke, for example: "You can't judge a dog by his collar".
He is open about his past struggles with mental health and self harm, which he sometimes jokes about in his videos.
He is vocal on his twitter, @IBXtoycat, and enjoys traveling to different parts of the world to create content for his second channel. He gets flights very cheap using a variety of methods, as seen in this video on ibx2cat.
One of his grandmothers is from Sri Lanka which means that he is a quarter South Asian.[2]
In the video "I Visited 4 Separate Countries That Call Themselves "China"", Andrew alludes that his birth town was Wells-next-the-Sea.
People say he speaks very fast. The quote "toycat is yes" is a recurring joke among viewers. He also watches Linus Tech Tips in a video that mentions place names that are shared across the world.[3]
Another joke/meme that is prominent on his channel was that he really wanted a cave update for the game "Minecraft". He spoke about it for years however finally the 1.17 - 1.18 caves and cliffs update was announced.
Many memes arise from his videos, one of the most prominent the desert well. He often sarcastically remarks how the desert well is such a useful structure, when in fact it gives you hardly anything at all. Another meme found in his videos is big salmon. He will talk, jokingly, about how the main reason he plays Minecraft Bedrock edition is for the exclusive big salmon it has. He also likes to talk about how 99% of house fire victims aren't subscribed to him.

Ibxtoycat's second channel, Ibx2cat, produces geography videos. Topics include capital cities, country facts, the EU, etc. Ibxtoycat claims that his second channel is for stuff that is different than his main channel.
There no clear topic, but there is a clear topic of geography and geopolitics. There are also vlogs featured on his channel, and there is a discussion about traveling. He also has a third channel called Andrew Andrews, formerly ibxtoycatletsplays where he uploads let's plays of various video games, as well as occasionally vlogs and outtakes.

Controversy
Notch video
On January 10, 2025, Toycat uploaded a video titled "Why Does Everyone Hate Notch?", where he said that, just because Notch was expressing some right-wing views doesn't mean Notch is a white supremacist,[5] after getting backlash, Toycat privated and then Un-privated the video on January 12th.[5]
