And Then, The Most Sinister Cat Is Born (Japanese: その時最凶のネコが誕生する Sonotoki saikyō no neko gatanjō suru) is the 36th episode of the Y School Heroes anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on September 11, 2020.

Summary

Jinpei and his friends spend their peaceful day-to-day school life, but Jinpei can't help but feels like he's forgotten something important, and his heart is all hazy. When Jinpei tells his story of a mysterious girl calling out in his dream, "Remember...what you have to do...", Koma believes him because he dreamt of the same girl for some reason. Meanwhile, Wampus, Goromi and Bluepon and the other Tokai partners were confined in Elzemekia's prison made. The reality was Ranto being killed and the YSP club defeated and their memories erased! With all hope lost and their stress pushed to the brink, a fight breaks out between Wampus, Goromi and Bluepon where the tension escalates gradually, and then something was released!

Plot

Jinpei and the others spend their school life in a world where "YSP" doesn't exist. Jinpei's been having strange dreams, in which he is flying over Y-Academy, and at the bottom of Discipline Tower, an unknown girl is standing there. The girl tells Jinpei that he needs to remember what he must do. Sandayu tells Jinpei he saw the same girl in his dreams recently too, a girl with antennas sprouting from her head.

Mataro appears asks if they're gonna meet up after school today, to which Jinpei and Sandayu said they were gonna do something first. When Mataro asked what that was, not only Mataro, but also Sandayu and the others have recently seemed to have forgotten something important, and that his mind is hazy. Nayu was watching Jinpei and the others from afar. At Discipline Tower, Elna was at a loss and is struggling badly with that. Shinobu said he had carefully confined the Onryo, he had sucked into Elzemekia's vacuum cleaner last time.

At the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, the Onryo are trapped in a tight circle, and are at a loss. Goromi, who's become trapped and unable to stand it, goes on a rampage. She then yells at Kazuma who has a smartphone to call somebody, to which he replied that it had been confiscated. He said that he wouldn't even be able to get a signal in the 1st place, and that it would be useless to try, to which Izuna suggested to wait for help. Jinpei pulls out an old coin from underneath his pillow, and said that it felt really important.

In the circle, Goromi says that she can't take it anymore, and by making a fuss, she hits Wampus and gets into a fight. She also hits Bluepon, who came over to stop them, and the three Yo-kai end up in a scuffle. Izuna was shocked that they were fighting, and Kazuma questioned if it was a jealous rivalry between those who serve the same master. The 3 Yo-kai collide into 1 another and fuse together, forming Mikettio. The Onryo were surprised by what had just occurred, and ask who Mikettio was. Mikettio ignores them and jumps up high into the air, creating an opening out of the vacuum cleaner, and the Onryo follow after him.

The 3 Yo-kai regain consciousness and question what happened, Bluepon commented on how they returned back to being how they were before fusing. The 3 Yo-kai express how much they want to avoid going back to being Mikettio, who seems to exert tremendous power. There, Kazuma and the other Onryo arrive, saying that they should all reconnect with their masters. At the tennis court, Izuna tries to get Ryusuke's attention, but fails poorly. Fubuki didn't even recognize Broken Clock, and when Kazuma passed by Mera in the halls, he didn't see him.

At the YSP Clubroom, Jinpei enters the clubroom and it felt familiar to him. Sandayu and Mataro also felt the clubroom was familiar, and Momo appeared at their feet to try and get them to remember. The 3 Yo-kai enter the clubroom to try and get the boys' attention, but they don't notice at all. Goromi angrily fires a corkscrew from her cork gun at Sandayu, who doesn't see it and unintentionally hits it away. Eventually, Jinpei and the others leave to the convenience store to enter in the lottery, and Bluepon wonders if they'll ever be noticed again.

At Discipline Tower, Elna wanted to take a peek at the suffering Onryo. When Elna saw the video of the conjuncture, the Onryo had escaped, she became furious. Elna thinks about Dober, who has the intention of antagonizing her. On the rooftop, Elna calls out to Dober, who is looking out over the world below. She asks him if he knew about that Onryo she captured escaping, he had no idea, and Elna is distrustful of Dober who replied bluntly. She said that there was no way for them to escape with the power they wield alone, to which Dober realizes Mikettio has appeared. He tells her that it's finally time to get serious, and leaves Elna to go find the Onryo.

On a sandy beach, the 3 Yo-kai and Onryo are upset that their masters aren't able to see them. Then Dober appears, and tells them that "he" should fight for them, to which Goromi was confused by. Dober strikes first without saying anything, and Broken Clock, Komadillo, Momo and Goromi fight back, but are flung away. Without any hesitation, Kazuma and Izuna lunge at and attack Dober, and the 2 are counterattacked by Dober. Bulepon use an ice attack, which is ineffective, and Wampus uses his combat mode, which also doesn't work. The Onryo continue to attack, all of them attacking at the same time, but no one's attacks are working at all.

Izuna and Kazuma, the most combative of the members, loses consciousness and becomes unable to fight. Dober says that none of them are capable of fighting him, and threatens for Mikettio to come out. Bluepon says they're not going to do that, and Goromi rushes at Dober with gusto. The 3 Yo-kai rush forward, Dober unleashes a powerful roar, rendering them immobile, flinging them away and causing them to collide into each other to form Mikettio. In the headmaster's office, Kinya questions a feeling he has and Enma comes out of Emma's body. Enma wonders if Mikettio has finally appeared, and from the headmaster's office, the sandy beach where Mikettio is, is in eyesight.

Kinya is surprised to learn that the 3 cat Yo-kai have finally merged, remembering that Mikettio is the most evil Yo-kai that has been ranked No. 1 in the nefarious ranking of the Yo-kai World for 100 consecutive years. Kinya wonders if Mikettio will be able to stand against the aliens, which Enma replies that it's unclear how tremendous Mikettio's power is, but will be a great asset if he becomes an ally. Though depending on how the situation is handled, Enma believes that Mikettio could be more of a threat than the aliens, much to Kinya's surprise.

Back on the beach, Dober comments on how Mikettio has finally appeared. He rushes towards Mikettio, to which he isn't concerned by at all. Izuna and Kazuma regain consciousness, and Dober gives Mikettio a "desperate cat flinching" roar. Mikettio laughs at said attack, wondering if it's his favorite thing to do, and Dober taunts him. Mikettio dodges Dober's attacks repeatedly, but the 3 cat Yo-kai try to separate from Mikettio, and he pushes them down. Mikettio states that it's nice to be back to the way he was, and comments on how he seems to be a little unstable. Mikettio then begins to taunt Dober, which intensifies their attacks, but Dober was still outnumbered. Mikettio continues to beat Dober up, which leave the Onryo to stare in disbelief.

Dober falls to the ground and becomes immobile, and Mikettio declares that the fight is over and walks off. Dober stands back up as he recalls his determination after his kin were sacrificed when they were defending their home planet against invaders until he became the sole survivor. Dober stands proud, but is instantly raked apart by Mikettio faster than the eye can see. Mikettio cackles and tears fall from Dober's eyes as he dematerializes. The Onryo were in shock from the events that had just occurred, and Kazuma remarked that this was the 3 cat Yo-kai's true form.

The 3 cat Yo-kai try again to separate themselves from Mikettio, who comments on that he's still unstable as he pushes them back down. Mikettio figures Jinpei must be the cause due to the boy's friendship with his 3 selves, each gaining their own individuality, thus deciding to kill Jinpei. At the convenience store, Jinpei and the others casually enjoy drawing from the lottery. In the Chemistry Laboratory (Y-Lab), Kuka is alone with the completed new watch in her hands.

This episode marks the debut of Mikettio.
Wampus's reaction when screaming at the ocean about Jinpei not being able to see him mirrors the reaction made in episode 1 after Jinpei gets rejected by Kana Nozomihara.
