- "Attackers want to plant the Detonator. Defenders try to stop them."
— In-game Description
BOMB! is an Arena game mode featured in XDefiant. It is set to appear in Season 2.[1]
Overview
BOMB! features as a single life game mode organized into rounds where one team's objective is to plant and successfully detonate the bomb at one of two bomb sites, or successfully defuse a planted bomb or prevent a detonation within 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Both teams can win by completely eliminating the enemy team, unless the bomb is planted wherein the defending team must still defuse it. The bomb can be picked up and dropped by the attacking team, and only the player that has the bomb can plant it. While planting or defusing the bomb, the player is unable to move or attack. The first team to reach six round victories wins. The attacking and defending teams will consistently spawn at the same locations each round, before switching sides after 4 rounds.
The bomb sites are given names, specifically A and B. Planting a bomb takes 2.5 seconds. Once a bomb is planted, 45 seconds are allotted before it explodes. Players caught in the detonation radius will be killed instantly. Defusing a bomb takes 5 seconds. Once a player has died, they will be able to spectate alive players on their team.

Patch Notes
- Players who joined a Bomb! match in progress were spawning on the map in a disorienting paralyzed state instead of chilling out in spectator mode until the start of the next round. We fixed that.
- Two bombs and zero respawns define the high-stakes, fan-requested new game mode with the objective right in the name: Bomb! Attackers attempt to plant a Detonator on one of two Bombs stationed across the map and keep it ticking until the Bomb goes boom. Defenders try to stop attackers from planting it, or, failing that, they must defuse the Detonator. Attacker success or defender failure yields predictably explosive results.
