Courser

Coursers are a category of large, herbivorous, hoofed beasts equivalent to real-world equines (horses and their relatives). Many coursers are domesticated as mounts and working animals by humans and other mortal races, but others remain mostly untamed and are primarily found in the wilds.

Coursers are a family of Ferocity hunter pets added in patch 9.0.1. Unicorns and zhevra were formerly classified as stags but were reclassified as coursers when the family was added. The family consists of the following creatures:

• Horse
• Mule
• Unicorn
• Zhevra

Many coursers are friendly to Alliance players and are therefore only tamable by Horde hunters. Freckles, a hostile horse in Tiragarde Sound who can spawn with different models, gives Alliance hunters access to several courser appearances otherwise only found on Alliance NPCs.
