Medea is character exclusive to the comic series. A former professor at Alfea who was fired and sought revenge for it.

Appearance

Personality

Medea is spiteful, manipulative, deceitful, and power-hungry, she plotted against Faragonda in order take control of Alfea. Medea also crafted a plan as revenge for her expulsion from Alfea. Griffin described her personality as severe and that she struck fear in her students, fear that was greater than Griselda.

Pre-Comics

Medea had joined Alfea's faculty as a professor sometime ago and taught with an iron fist. She also struck a "friendship" with Faragonda in order to deceive her, ploting to take Alfea from her and make an army of fairies under her rule. However, she was caught and fired. From then on, she would plan her revenge.

Comics

In Issue 151: The Disappearance of Alfea, Medea finally puts her plans into motion and starts by encapsulating Alfea then casting a sleeping spell before transporting the school into a spherical containment. She also planted a magical weapon in order to pin the blame on Cloud Tower and then patiently waits for Faragonda's best students - the Winx - to show up.

When they arrive at her place of residency, the Forest of Silence, she greets them at her doorstep with a triumphed grin. What she has in her hand is the magical sphere that is now serving as Alfea's prison. Medea greedily rejoices that the school is hers now and tells the Winx that the sphere is linked to her. Warning them that if they defeat her, the school will disappear with her. When she hears that the girls will try to save Alfea, she blasts them with magic only for Flora to distract her with vines.

The Winx teleport into the sphere using their Tynix powers and frees the school and everyone in it. Medea herself then gets trapped inside the sphere by Faragonda.
