Etymology

  • The name "Dorana" might be derived from the Greek word "dora" (δῶρα, δώρα), which are forms of the word "doron" (δῶρον), meaning "gift". Some Greek feminine names also end with "-dora" (-δώρα), which is a feminine suffix meaning "gift of".

Trivia

  • Dorana bears a striking resemblance to the Wishing Star.
  • Simona Berman (Dorana's voice actress) also voices Twinkly.
  • Dorana could be inspired by Rosalina from the Mario game universe as she shares a few similarities with her. In particular the Super Mario Galaxy game:
    • Both have the cosmic reign
    • Both take care of star-like beings and use them as servants and messengers.
