Books

In Il nemico e in pericolo, at the initiative of Discorda, all the pixie guardians gather on the new moon in a magical hollow in the Dark Forest, intended for their secret emergency meetings. At the same time, a dark force enveloped Cloud Tower in the form of a huge snake made of black smoke. It subjugated the minds of all the inhabitants of the school and, having stolen their dreams, left only one endless tormenting nightmare. Sensing danger, Discorda's magical amulet lit up, letting its owner know about it. Pixie decides that the meeting should be postponed, and together with the other guardians, she heads to the witch school. Back at school, Discorda came to Griffin and shared her premonitions about the approaching danger, but the headmistress did not share these fears. Cloud Tower did not respond to her telepathic call, and Griffin herself felt a sharp headache at the moment of contact, but wrote it off to the fact that the school was sleeping, and the pain was associated with a disgusting nightmare.

Professor Rubeo and Trix were the last to arrive in the conference room. The meeting lasted a long time, and at the end, Griffin turned to Trix. Stormy came up with an excuse that Icy was currently busy researching ingredients for a complex potion, so she apologized for not being able to come. When the Trix felt all eyes on them, Stormy looked around and saw Professor Rubeo winking at her knowingly. Discorda reprimanded them, saying that due to the seriousness of the situation, no one should be absent from school. Griffin calmly expressed her hope that Icy would come to her office before the evening to talk. Rubeo Drum suddenly asked to speak, admitting that Icy was conducting research at his request. Under the professor's intense gaze, Griffin agreed that in that case, her absence was completely justified. Noticing Rubeo putting the precious glasses in his pocket, she remembered how she had once been told that these glasses had hypnotic powers. Discorda insisted that Icy come to her and Griffin as soon as possible. When the meeting was over, the pixie whispered her suspicions to the headmistress. Earlier, she had heard strange voices in the Tower, and now Icy had disappeared, and Discorda was almost certain that her absence was connected with the theft of the witches' magical powers. These events threaten the balance of power in the dimension. Griffin decided to inform Faragonda and Saladin about the incident. Having turned off the lights and closed the doors of the conference room, the headmistress went to the dining room for breakfast with Discorda.

Tigerclaw caught the pixie when she was going to bed and had already changed into her nightgown, which made Discorda angry, promising that if the professors or witches saw her like this, she would pluck every single feather out of the bird. Griffin gave Discorda a small black cloak, telling her that she was now sure that the enemy was among us and that action was needed. She sent the pixie riding Tigerclaw to deliver a message to the headmaster of Red Fountain, Saladin. The guardian pixie suggested that she could fly alone, accompanied by her guardians, but the witch objected - it was dangerous, and no one would notice a crow and one pixie if she disguised herself. Griffin also explained that there was no way in or out of the school anymore - the doors were locked, and the Tower itself no longer obeyed her. Talon flew through the night towards the dark blue valley that lay beneath Cloud Tower. Discorda was hidden in his plumage. As soon as he left the school, a flock of black bats, the faithful servants of evil, flew towards him. Convinced that it was only a raven wandering in search of prey, they left him alone. Griffin watched her messengers from the window until they disappeared over the horizon. All that was left was to wait and hope.

The Blue Eagle landed in Alfea, and the entire crew hurried to Faragonda's office to report the news and ask permission to go to the Dark Forest and test the Elixir of the Shadow Forest. But the office was closed. But the huge meeting hall was buzzing like a disturbed beehive. Knut guarded the entrance. The headmistress was surrounded by the entire faculty of Alfea, as well as Discorda, Saladin, and many of the Red Fountain teachers. Everyone sat down, not wanting to waste time. Saladin, taking the floor, told what Griffin had told him through Discorda. Having learned of the witches' misfortune, Codatorta sarcastically suggested that they sort this mess out themselves, but Faragonda objected - this is a common misfortune. The age-old balance of opposites in the Dimension was lost.

Discorda suggested sealing the Vessel of Sighs once and for all, which was done. It was decided to make the Tower of the Invisible a public library, making windows in it and furnishing it. Dangerous manuscripts will be stored elsewhere. Alfea students will also be able to use the library if they have a standard permit with Griffin's signature. The Winx were delighted. The sun had long since set, the Cloud Tower was illuminated by a full moon and the flames of one thousand one hundred and seventeen torches: Faragonda suggested that Griffin celebrate the victory with a real holiday. Witches and fairies competed to see who would look more refined and beautiful, and the specialists tried not to disappoint either one or the other, lavishing compliments on everyone with equal generosity.

Magical Abilities

Because she is the guardian pixie of Cloud Tower's Codex she remains with it and due to her status, she greater power than the other pixies.[1] She has also been shown to fire small purple energy balls that can cause a bit of knock back. When she flies she also lets out purple sparkles. It is possible since she is Cloud Tower's guardian pixie, she may have dark magic, but her exact power source is unknown.

Trivia

  • Her name comes from the Latin word Discordia, meaning strife which is as well the name by which the Romans called the Greek Goddess of Strife, Eris, when they adopted her into their pantheon. Her opposite is Concordia, the Goddess of Agreement, Understanding and Marital Harmony, called Harmonia by the Greeks.
  • She has Witch-like appearance, possibly due to the fact that she is the Guardian Pixie of Cloud Tower.
  • Discorda and Athena are the only Guardian Pixies that do not make any appearance within the Winx Club Comic Series, nor are they ever mentioned.
