Advisor Cogitron is the advisor to King Cryos of Titania.
Appearance
Standing at an impressive height, Cogitron easily towers everyone. His entire is made of a silver armored shell body and wears a red cloak with gold trimmings.
He was initially a large machine that took up space.
Personality
He is polite and well-mannered but also understands humanoid emotions well, something that surprised Tecna. Cogitron is loyal towards the people he serves, always wishing the best for them and would do what he can to ensure it does. He is intuitive.
Comics
Season 2
Cogitron follows his king and queen to Alfea for the party. It is his first time meeting his princess, Tecna, and so his king introduces her. But as his monarchs converse the mood turns tense and so he suggests a walk in the garden in hopes of mitigating that tension.
But it seems the walk in the garden did not go well as his king and princess are not willing to speak to one another. Cogitron approaches Tecna first and advises her on how to speak with her father on the same level. The two then go to the gardens and see the king sitting on a bench hunched over. Tecna explains that there is no way she can talk to him because of his stubbornness. Cogitron is prepared for that and lets Tecna in on his secret. Not only is he the king's advisor but also his bodyguard. His body is a hollow armor which can be used to hide the king.
He allows Tecna to hide inside and talk to her father without him knowing it is her. He is confident it will let the two reach an understanding.
Tecna takes control of Cogitron's body and speaks with her father. And she learns that her father loves her dearly but is worried sick that something horrible will happen to her, which is why he is being so hard. He mentions that, it is the parents' responsibility to protect them at all costs regardless if the children understood or not. The problem is, if the parents' are to make a mistake, their children will be the ones to pay for the consequences. A point of view Tecna had never considered.
Tecna leaps out of Cogitron and shows that she understands now. His king and princess sharing a loving family hug as both reach an understanding. His majesty points out that Cogitron revealed their secret but since Tecna is part of the royal family, it was only fair. Cogitron asks for his majesty pardon for revealing said secret, only for the king laugh and grants said pardon.
Trivia
- The first part of his name, cog, may have something to do with the word cognitive which means "of, relating to, being, or involving conscious intellectual activity (such as thinking, reasoning, or remembering).[1]"
- It is a combination of cog and -tron, the latter meaning instrument specially when naming electronic devices and nuclear physics[2].
