Earth Proxima is an Empyrean specific section of Earth that is under  Grineer control. Proxima locations contain no Dark Sectors and cannot have any Invasions occur within it.

Earth Proxima becomes accessible by completing the Rising Tide quest or by joining an Empyrean ship crew to play through missions.

Notes

  • The "Free Flight" mission is not actually a completable mission and contains no resources, enemies, or objectives. It can be used as simply a way to get a feel of your Railjack controls or have people join your ship when in public mode to head off to actual missions.
    • However, it can be "completed" by entering another mission, and will contribute to Nightwave challenges.

  • Proxima is an alternate form of Latin word proximus, which means nearest, next or adjoining.
    • Proxima is also another name of Proxima Centauri, a flare star in the southern constellation of Centaurus, the nearest star to the sun.
