Newtgat

The Newtgat is a small pink newt/axolotl piñata. Its gills are red, and its large eyes have green irises. It has a purple tail, a pink and purple pattern covering its body, and purple legs.

The frilly, trilling Newtgat is a general pond favourite, sharing many traits with its nemesis the Lickatoad: a penchant for puddle-hopping, a low rank on the food chain and some interesting evolutionary potential.

Housing

The Newtgat house looks like a Chinese palace lantern, or Dēnglóng.

Other Information

  • The Newtgat can climb trees.
  • Likes to be watered with the Watering Can.
  • If you are going to make a Newtgat garden, be careful of the Lickatoads that will come. Posssible solutions to avoid fighting include purchasing the Red Eye Rainbow from Ivor Bargain or putting Gas Masks from Paper Pets on the Lickatoads and Newtgats. Alternatively, making sure not to grow any flowers (Original and Pocket Paradise)/daisies and trees (TIP) will prevent Lickatoads from becoming residents in the first place.
