Taffly

A Taffly is a small blue fly piñata.

Easily attracted by the meagrest of bouquets, a Taffly has many uses: mobile fruity fertilizer factory, raw material for a Hot species, bait for Arocknids and Lickatoads... nobody said insect life was easy. The Taffly may seem a little bit lazy, but to put it to work you only have to give it a piece of fruit.

Taffly Fertilizer Transformation Process
Taffly Fertilizer Transformation Process Pocket Paradise

If directed to eat a fruit or berry, it will turn it into a fertilizer pile with a color related to the eaten item. In Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, it will shoot out a green gassy beam from its mouth instead of eating the item, turning the fruit into a small fertilizer pile, that can then be used by selecting it with the cursor and pressing the Y button. It will then turn into a bag and can be used on one plant before it is destroyed. Canceling out of this fertilizer usage mode will not put back the fertilizer into the garden or store it for later use, it will be instead destroyed. Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise instead has it actually eat the apple, then seemly defecate it as the fertilizer. This dropped fertilizer pile can then be picked up and stored in a bag cache. Up to nine bags of each color of fertilizer can be stored, and then pulled out at any time.

Appearance

It has orange irises and a proboscis sucking mouth that thins out to the edge before ending in a thicker proboscis. It has white bug wings with hard to see yellow lines on them. It has light blue stripes on its body. Its six tiny and stubby legs are of a deeper blue color than its main body. Its butt is larger than the front of its body.
