Dongseok Oh used to be in juvenile prison during his youth. At this time he joined the Chungui Boxing Club (CUD) and rose to the top. Dongseok never bothered to train his body since he was a genius. He used simple and quick moves to dominate his opponents. The result was that he had never lost a fight. After leaving prison, Dongseok had a hard time finding a job as an ex-convict. He joined the New International Branch at some point after this.

During his time in New International Branch, Dongseok would visit brothels. One night he visits the one 244 works at, and books a room with Dohyee. As she gets the keys from Jinho, Dongseok sees the dating rings and became jealous of Jinho.[1] He called Jinho to his room one night and threatened him. Jinho grappled Dongseok to the ground and tells him that the police are outside, and he doesn't want to be caught in this situation. Dongseok later introduced Jinho to his boss, Cheon Il-seop. [2] The next time they meet Dongseok is shocked to learn that Jinho is now driving Cheon's car.

When Jinho murders Cheon's wife, Dongseok grabs Jinho by the collar and asks what game he is playing. [3] He tells Dongseok that his instincts are telling him the right decision to make, and that he should choose wisely.[4] Dongseok decided to follow Jinho wholeheartedly, and becomes the No. 2 of the New International Branch.
