Oh, right. The poison. The poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison.
„
~ Kronk
“
It's the peasant who I saw leaving the city who disappeared into the crowd with Kuzco in the back of his cart. He must have taken him back to his village, so if we find the village, we find him, and if we find him, we find Kuzco. Oh, yeah, it's all comin' together.
He is the dimwitted but affable right-hand man of Yzma, whom he serves purely out of loyalty to her. While he does participate very actively in her evil schemes, Kronk is not really malicious himself and simply lacks better judgement, additionally being shown to be capable of heroic deeds if given the chance.
In all of his appearances, he was voiced by Patrick Warburton, who also played Blag in The Wild, Royal Pain's disguise voice in Sky High, Alien Cop in Chicken Little, Ken in Bee Movie and Hugo P. Vasquez in Tales from the Borderlands.
He is a large well built young man with dark hair who wears sandals with a blue and yellow outfit with bracelets on his wrists and ankles and has a square jawline.
Personality
Kronk starts off as Yzma's loyal assistant, helping her with tasks where she is too old to do things herself. Kuzco and Yzma early on discuss awkwardly how he is a handsome young man in his mid-to-late 20s. Unfortunately for Yzma, Kronk is exceptionally dimwitted as he's tricked into falling off Kuzco's throne while chasing a treat and is often the one responsible for accidents in Yzma's plans. Furthermore, unlike Yzma, Kronk possesses a rather strong moral compass which causes him to be rather hesitant in executing her evil deeds, as shown when he rescues Kuzco from drowning despite earlier orders to dispose of the transfigured emperor.
Despite working for Yzma, Kronk is extremely praiseworthy and virtuous, as he actually has a shoulder angel and shoulder devil who appear on his shoulders whenever Kronk faces a moral dilemma (despite this however, Kronk was perfectly fine with poisoning Kuzco). They are smaller versions of him dressed in an angel and devil costume and usually bicker and mock one another. Sometimes, of course, they agree with each other, as they both decide to attack Yzma with a chandelier after realising she doesn't really value him.
Kronk is also shown to be a Jewish man. In Kronk's New Groove, he fantasizes about marrying Miss Birdwell in a Jewish ceremony, complete with him stepping on glass. This is somewhat odd, however, as Kronk is an Incan and Incans had their own deities, not believing in any of the Abrahamic religions. However, seeing as the series’s Incans oddly possess certain modern appliances and frequent establishments analogous to modern ones, it’s not surprising that such beliefs may have been introduced to their culture externally.

And let’s not forget Yzma’s right-hand man. Every decade, she gets a new one. This year’s model is called Kronk.

~ Kuzco talking about Kronk.
Kronk helps Yzma to kill Kuzco by poisoning him, but it turns Kuzco into a llama instead. Yzma later sends Kronk to drop Kuzco over a waterfall but he decides to drop Kuzco into Pacha's cart thanks to his conscience. He later has a change of heart after Yzma admits that she hates his spinach puffs.
In the TV series The Emperor's New School, he is an anti-heroic character who is both a friend of Kuzco and Yzma's sidekick. He eventually redeems himself in the last episode and becomes Kuzco's advisor. Being the guardian of Kuzco, Kronk also helps him.
The Devil Kronk
“
Don't listen to that guy. (poof) He's trying to lead you down the path of righteousness. I'm gonna lead you down the path that rocks.

~ Devil Kronk telling Kronk to not listen to his shoulder angel.
The Devil Kronk is a minor antagonist in The Emperor's New Groove. He is the opposite of Angel Kronk, and both appear on Kronk's shoulders. Just like his angel and real counterpart, he was voiced by Patrick Warburton, though in a high-pitched voice.
Devil Kronk made two appearances in The Emperor's New Groove, trying to convince Kronk to kill Kuzco as Yzma also orders him. However, in the end, after Yzma makes Kronk upset over her never liking his spinach puffs, the Angel and Devil work together to convince Kronk to kill Yzma with a chandelier, though Yzma's skinniness saves her and Kronk and his consciousness fall through a trap door.
Devil Kronk would then return as one of the two main antagonists and deuteragonists (alongside Angel Kronk) of Kronk's New Groove, trying and failing to get Kronk to do the selfish things to get his thumbs up from his father Papi.

Trivia
Despite being Yzma's sidekick, Kronk is not considered to be a truly evil villain or an extremely dangerous enemy of Emperor Kuzco. So it is considered that he is just an average on/off-again villain since he is also good friends with Kuzco (however, Kronk was content with poisoning Kuzco in the first film).
What's rather ironic about this case is that Kuzco was shown to have a greater villainous streak than Kronk does.
In the original script for The Emperor's New Groove, when it was called Kingdom of the Sun, Yzma would've been accompanied by 4 minions instead of 1: Mick, Bowie and Lemmy, who were 3 undead mummies, and Huaca, who would've been a talisman who turned evil after starting out as a hero. Not much is known about how the 4 minions would've turned out, but in the storyboards, they appeared to be similar to Kronk as they were depicted as being comical and dimwitted, similar to what Kronk is. The only difference is that while Kronk redeems himself at the end of the final project, Mick, Bowie, Lemmy and Huaca would've likely been killed off without having a chance of redemption.
