Geng Chun is a major antagonist in the 2016 Chinese TV series God of War Zhao Yun/Chinese Hero Zhao Zilong. He is Xiahou Jie's and later Gao Ze's right-hand man.
He was portrayed by Zhang He.
Biography
Geng Chun was a young skilled warrior serving under the tyrant Dong Zhuo's Army. He was personally working under Xiahou Jie, a general of Dong Zhuo and was his most trusted minion and right-hand man. He along with Xiahou Jie strted to look for the lost legendary Qing Gang and Yi Tian swords that belonged to Zhao An and then were passed to his son Zhao Yun, who at the time was using the alias "The Iron-Masked Warrior". They both were joined by another skilled warrior named Gao Ze who was the fiance of Xiahou Jie's daughter, Xiahou Qinyi. Geng Chin soon started to respect and admire Gao Ze and worked close to him. They encountered Zhao Yun and his friends multiple times but at one point joined forces against a groupd of bandits led by Du Jue, though they were secretly working with them and only pretending to be allies in order for Zhao Yun to lower his guard. Geng Chun was antagonizing Zhao Yun and his friends, as well as their master Li Quan, who despised him.
They soon turned on Zhao Yun and started to attack him and friends repeatedly and even managed to steal one of Zhao Yun's legendary swords. Geng Chun at one point faked his own death in order to trick them. They eventually started to work for Cao Cao and gave him the sword in order to gain his trust and give them high ranks. Later, Geng Chun kidnapped Xiahou Qinyi's personal maid and friend Shi Yan and locked her in a cell, even attempting to rape her. Geng Chun was also personally responsible for killing Zhao Shimei, a girl and loyal friend of Zhao Yun, that was saved by him once as well as Li Quan, to whom he gave the finishing blow after Gao Ze had wounded him. Geng Chun planned to kill Zhao Yun, and surrendered to them by himself, apologizing for his actions and blaming Gao Ze and Xiahou Jie for his actions. Zhao Yun initially spared him but didn't trust him. Geng Chun attempted to kill Zhao Yun in his sleep but it turned out to be a trap, as Zhao Yun was prepared for it and had him arrested. Zhao Yun along with his friend Liu Shen and Li Quan's daughter Li Feiyan interrogated him, with Geng Chun being forced to admitt all of his crimes and tell them what happened to both Shi Yan and Li Quan. When Li Feiyan, was told that her father was stabbed to death by him, she pulled a sword and stabbed him in the chest killing him instantly.
