D-Ice is a minor character in the Grand Theft Auto series, serving as a mission boss for the Red Jacks gang in Grand Theft Auto III.
He is a gang leader of the Red Jacks established in the United States whose criminal gang is dominant in the early 2000s. His appearance is unknown and he is one of the people who gives missions to Claude Speed through a public telephone whose jobs are mainly focused on take down the Purple Nines gang.
He was played by Walter Mudu, who also voiced King Courtney in the same game.
Biography
Grand Theft Auto III
In the year 2001, D-Ice is on parole, who contacts Claude through the pager due to his relevance in the criminal world. When Claude arrives at the place established by the gang member, he answers the phone and receives a greeting from D-Ice who tells him that his gang is in constant war with the Purple Nines, who are only dedicated to selling SPANK and showing off their weapons, for which he asks to kill some of the area with a vehicle to avoid problems with the Red Jacks. After these events, the Purple nines vanish for which the Red Jacks would take their place, this would cause D-Ice's vehicle to be sabotaged with a bomb as revenge, so worried about losing his vehicle, he turns to Claude to quickly Bring your vehicle to your contact who easily defuses the bomb, foiling the rival gang's plans. In that period of time, the federal reserve cars crash near the airport, so D-Ice upon learning of the situation sends Claude to steal as many gold bars as he can to take them to the gang member's warehouse.
Later, D-Ice and the current leader of the Purple Nines would decide the fate of the territory through a hand-to-hand battle between the remaining members against Claude and D-ice's brother, after the battle the gang member is not spoken of again but It is speculated that he completely took control of the Southside Hoods since Claude killed the only remaining Purple Nines.
Personality
D-Ice is a character who trusts too quickly in just someone he knows using Claude as a means to gain victory in the middle of a gang war which is his main obsession since he did not mind sending his brother to a fight that It would probably lead to his death until it could even be said that he asked Claude to transport a bomb that possibly would have exploded everything so as not to be discredited in front of other gangs.
