Volume 1 is the first volume of the Versus manga series.
Summary
Humanity has been oppressed for hundreds of years due to the rise and invasion of its natural enemy "demons". The world was ruled by the "Great Demon King" and his 47 subordinate "47 Demon Kings".
While people live in fear, 47 people selected from all over the world have been named "Heroes" and are preparing to fight against the Great Demon King's army.
And now, a desperate operation was about to begin that would put the very survival of the human race at stake.[1]
