Sabiwa (サビワ Sabiwa?) is a human from the Yggdrasion.
Appearance
Sabiwa's face is hidden. They wear a large, wide-brimmed straw hat with a pointed top. At the peak of the hat, there’s a tuft of leaves. Sabiwa's lower half of the face is covered by a type of capelet that's been tied with a rope around a leafy mantle that drapes over the entirety of Sabiwa's upper body.
Personality
Sabiwa demonstrates a significant gesture of alliance by presenting Zaybi with their last World's Essence, a highly valuable item. This act is intended to assist Zaybi in regaining his mana to execute the Grand Teleportation Magic Circle. Such a move by Sabiwa suggests a readiness to sacrifice valuable resources for the benefit of their allies, underscoring a commitment to mutual aid and cooperation.
Plot
Introduction Arc
Sabiwa seems to be in attendance at the gathering where humans are strategizing their forthcoming actions.[1]
Demons vs Aliens Arc
As Zaybi begins the incantation for the Grand Teleportation Magic Circle, he is met with a sinking realization — his mana reserves are insufficient. Seemingly noticing his plight, Sabiwa extends a helping hand, presenting him with the World's Essence. They assure Zaybi of its potency in restoring strength. True to their word, upon consuming the essence, Zaybi feels a surge of mana coursing through him. Sabiwa reveals the rarity of the gift; it was not only immensely valuable but also the final one in their possession.[2]
As the humans flee to the Land of the Lawless, the King's health declines. Zaybi asks the people of Yggdrasion if they have any more World's Essence left, but they again tell him they don't.[3]
Current Arc
In a desperate turn of events, the Lawless group, known as Kyokai, targets the remaining human survivors. This comes after Glasp orders Keila and her fellow troops to engage with non-lethal force, while a couple brave souls from Neo-Terra rescue Zaybi from the clutches of marauders. Then the human soldiers deploy smoke grenades against the outlaws, securing precious moments for the survivors to seek refuge. The search for shelter is fraught with danger, as the decrepit buildings threaten to collapse. In a moment of ingenuity, Sabiwa reveals the Root of the World and embeds it into the structure of a building. With the addition of water, the root miraculously flourishes, spreading and reinforcing the building's integrity, and providing a safe haven for the survivors to shield themselves for the time being.[4]
