Guigass

Guigass (ギガス, Gigasu)[1][2][3] is an ape-like Kaiju that was one of the three monsters awakened by the comet Tsuifon, alongside Dorako and Red King II. While Red King II killed Dorako in battle, Guigass attempted to retreat from the fight, but he was caught off guard and destroyed by the SSSP, leaving Ultraman to deal with Red King II.

History

Ultraman

Guigass was a monster awoken from the effects of the comet Tsuifon as it passed the Earth. He awoke in the Arabis Mountains, emitting radio waves that could potentially detonate six missing nuclear bombs. Once the comet passed, the Science Patrol started a full search for the missing weapons and soon crossed paths with Guigass. As the team retreated, the monster Dorako flew in. They managed to lure Dorako to Guigass where the pair quickly engaged in combat.

As the titans waged war, a third contender burst forth from the rocks: Red King (who had swallowed the nuclear bombs). Red King challenged both Guigass and Dorako. The pair were no match for the deadly monster and Guigass was sent into full retreat, but the Science Patrol couldn't allow such a dangerous beast to exist. As Guigass crawled away, they unleashed their Extreme Drought Bomb, a bomb that completely desiccates its target, putting a sudden end to his life while Ultraman dealt with Red King.Mystery Comet Tsuifon

Trivia

Ultraman Z

Guigass suddenly appeared near an important observatory at the Izuhara Highlands. Haruki Natsukawa was sent to deal with the giant primate by piloting Sevenger. After a short brawl, Haruki unleashed Sevenger's newest weapon, the Rigid Core Iron Fist Rocket, to defeat Guigass, but in doing so slammed the fist and Guigass into an observatory in spite of Captain Shota Hebikura telling him to be careful. After the battle, Director Kuriyama scolded the two of them again, saying that it is because of incidents like these that Windom's development could not be funded.Live Coverage! Trivia

  • Suit actor: Shun Takahashi.
  • Guigass' suit is repurposed from an attraction suit, with the attraction department even apply makeup to it. However since the fight took place at outdoors, the suit became dirty anyway.

Ultraman Blazar

Guigass was first seen fighting Red King II in the Japanese alps in a battle of dominance, and eventually lost. But with nothing but the snow white plains of the alps stretching out as far as the eye can see, the two kaiju then headed towards human settlements, with Guigass first emerging from beneath the mountains of the Shinonogi district. In response, the SKaRD deployed Earth Garon to engage the kaiju, who was headed towards Shomai-Matsumoto. Earth Garon had the upper hand at first, but the sudden appearance of Red King II evened out the odds.

Noticing that some civilians had yet to evacuate, Gento transformed into Ultraman Blazar to drive back the kaiju. Guigass, who faced Earth Garon as Blazar took on Red King II, shrugged off Earth Garon's Earth Fire with ease and struck back with his freezing breath, immobilizing the mecha. It later did the same against Blazar, but the timely arrival of Firdran allowed the Ultra to thaw himself from the ice. Under Red King II's coercion, Guigass engaged Blazar in a bullfight but eventually collided with Red King II. As both kaiju picked themselves up from the ground, Blazar freed Earth Garon from its icy prison, and together they finished off Red King II and Guigass with the Earth Fire and Tilsofird Fire Dragon Shot.
