Darklar

Darklar (ダークラー, Dākurā) is a capsule monster that appeared in the film, Ultraman Zearth 2: Superhuman Big Battle - Light and Shadow.

History

Ultraman Zearth 2: Superhuman Big Battle - Light and Shadow

Darklar was an evil capsule monster captured and remodeled from its homeworld Lady-Benzene to assist Ultraman Shadow in her conquest. Darklar was summoned to battle against Zearth's own Capsule Monster, Miraclon. As both capsule monsters battled, Miraclon proved to be the stronger of the two and easily beat up Darklar. Miraclon then used his telekinesis to hurl Darklar into Ultraman Shadow (who was watching the fight) and Darklar was returned to his capsule.

Trivia

• On some promotional photos, Darklar is seen battling Ultraman Zearth. However, neither monster nor Ultra ever confront each other in their appearances.
• Darklar's appearance seems to be based on early concept art for the Toho kaiju Destoroyah.
