Dabaran

Dabaran (ダバラン) was a monster that appeared in The☆Ultraman. Originally he was two separate monsters, Fundus (ファンダス, Fandasu) and Choirus (クワァイラス, Kuwairasu).

Subtitles:

• Dabaran: Combination Monster (合体怪獣, Gattai Kaijū)
• Fundus: Elephant Monster (象怪獣, Zō Kaijū)
• Choirus: Pterosaur Monster (翼竜怪獣, Yokuryū Kaijū)

History

The☆Ultraman

Fundus and Choirus a pair of two monsters that wrecked havoc in humanity's domain until the Science Guard Party managed to freeze the monster's warthog body as it rampaged through an oil refinery. The next day, Fundus was slowly shaking free of its icy prison and it attracted Choirus to come and rescue it. The Science Guard Party originally thought the two monsters would fight, causing them to blast the icy tomb so the Fundus and Choirus would collide. However, instead of fighting they formed Draaban's fused body. Daraban managed to down the Science Guard Party's fighter and fought the air force's jets with little effort. After the Science Guard Party repair their ship and escaped Daraban's attempt to trample them, Choichiro turned into Ultraman Joneus. Shortly into the fight Joneus managed to separate the two monsters with a powerful kick and even in a two against one match the hero easily out maneuvered both of them. Once the Daraban bodies were combined once again, Joneus threw the monster into the air before finishing it with the Planium Beam.
