Trivia

  • This episode marks the first appearance of Noboru Kawaya.
  • When Musashi arrives at the SRC Special Medical Base where Lamia has been taken, Dr. Migita responds, "Are you that person from back then?" This line indirectly references the events of episode 13, "Daughter of Time: Part 1."
  • During the production of Ultraman Cosmos, the early episodes featured numerous battle scenes set in mountainous or open field environments. As a result, the production team grew concerned that the action sequences were becoming too monotonous. To address this, approximately six months into the series' broadcast, this episode introduced the first large-scale battle set in an urban area.[1]
    • The special effects scenes in this episode combined traditional miniature model filming with live-action compositing techniques, enhancing the realism of the battle sequences. For instance, the fight between Ultraman Cosmos and Guinje took place amid the skyscrapers of Shinjuku and the waterfront district of Odaiba.
    • Additionally, in scenes featuring the JADF's tank units, multiple tank models were composited onto the streets in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
