Kim Da-hyun (Hangul: 김다현), better known by her monomym, Dahyun (Hangul: 다현), is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter and actress. She is the lead rapper and one of the sub vocalists of TWICE.
Life and Career
Dahyun was born on May 28, 1998 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She grew up with her parents and has an older brother born in 1995.
From a young age, she began singing with her Christian church choir. Dahyun first gained attention in sixth grade after a video of her at church performing a "head-banging, wing-flapping, and thoroughly irrepressible dance" to Hillsong's "The Power of Your Love" went viral on YouTube in 2011 and earned her the moniker "Eagle Dance Church Sister." In middle school, she performed a solo in a youth dance festival and was scouted by JYP Entertainment. She auditioned for the company on July 7, 2012, and officially became a trainee for over three years.
She later appeared in the music video of GOT7's "Stop Stop It" as the main story character, Wooyoung's "R.O.S.E" and Young K's "Nothing but (이것밖에는 없다)". She graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School in February 2017.

On May 4, 2024, it was announced that Dahyun would be making her acting debut in the independent film Run to You. She was also cast in You Are the Apple of My Eye, a Korean remake of the 2011 Taiwanese film of the same name. The film premiered at the 29th Busan International Film Festival in October 2024 and it will be released on February 21, 2025 in South Korea and to selected countries worldwide around late February to March of the same year. On February 7, 2025, it was announced the she was cast in Love Me, a Korean remake of Swedish television series Älska mig (2019–2020).
On September 10, 2024, Dahyun made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week, wearing the Michael Kors 2025 Spring/Summer collection.
