Chapter 9

"Ai-chan, Part 5" (アイちゃん⑤, Ai-chan 5) is the ninth chapter of the Tawawa on Monday manga. Ai-chan discusses her school committee role. It also introduces Maegami-chan and her teacher, Sensei.

Synopsis

Ai-chan and Onii-san meet on another of their Monday commutes. Onii-san notices how her shirt collar isn't buttoned all the way up, giving him a view of her cleavage. He is curious about her role in the committee she's commuting to, and suspect her of being the stereotypical member of the Public Morals Committee who ends up disturbing the morals herself. Ai-chan laughs at him and informs him that those kind of committees are a thing of the past and she's just a regular class representative, and doesn't disturb the morals as she does button her shirt up before going to school. They then talk about Sensei who is the homeroom teacher for Ai-chan. Onii-san is shocked to learn that Ai-chan's teacher is a young man and imagines Ai-chan flirting with her teacher who is being torn by his professional ethics. Ai-chan teases that a real adult man would not look at a high school girl that way, noting that Sensei is not like Onii-san.

We follow Ai-chan to the school where she accidentally bumps into Sensei causing him to drop the papers he is carrying. As Ai-chan helps him pick up the papers, we learn that he really does ignore Ai-chan completely. Maegami-chan arrives and offers to pick up the papers. She orders Ai-chan to fix her collar, which is still not buttoned up. Maegami-chan finally tells Ai-chan that she has to watch out in Sensei's class, "because he's a very naughty person", implying to Ai-chan theirs isn't a regular teacher-student relationship.
