Carry On

Carry On is a recurring challenge that debuted in Koh-Lanta and has since appeared in Survivor: David vs. Goliath and Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets.

Rules

Each tribe will have one member attached to a heavy bag of coconuts. The rest of their tribe will help their tethered tribemate navigate through a series of obstacles by carrying their bag of coconuts. On the way to the finish, that tribemate must retrieve a set of rings on a balance beam. Once all four rings are collected, one other castaway will throw the rings and land them on a post.

In Island of Secrets, the challenge was combined with Stacked Up and played for immunity and reward. The three tribes had to lift up a bag of coconuts to allow their designated retriever, who is tethered to the bag, to move around a course and use a fork to collect balls and stacking cups to build a tower. The first person to complete their tower wins immunity and reward for their tribe, while the second person to finish wins the reward not chosen by the first-place tribe. Sa'ula's Steffi Brink struggled to keep her tower stacked, allowing Ta'alo's Jacques Burger and Laumei's Rocco van Rooyen to take the lead. In the end, Rocco beat out Jacques to win immunity and live chickens, while Jacques won Ta'alo the fishing gear that Laumei did not take.
