Jump Shot is a recurring physical challenge in which tribes race to score the most goals by throwing a ball into a guarded net.
Rules
Each tribe selects a goal-keeper, who stands on a platform above water and in front of a net. One at a time, Members of the opposite tribe will run up, jump out over the water and throw the ball at the net, while the goalkeeper tries to deflect the shot. First tribe to score a given number of goals wins the challenge.
History
The challenge first appeared in Survivor: Nicaragua. Both tribes competed side-by-side to five goals. Espada won the Reward Challenge, receiving a trip to a local ranch for horseback riding and a big breakfast.
In Survivor: Caramoan, the challenge was used as a Post-Merge Reward Challenge. Divided by Schoolyard Pick, the two teams competed one-by-one. The "Purple Team", consisting of Eddie Fox, Erik Reichenbach, John Cochran, Michael Snow, and Reynold Toepfer, won the challenge and a trip to a nearby waterfall for a rappelling adventure and picnic lunch.
