Bomber is an enemy from the Kirby universe who first appeared in the Smash Bros. series as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. He then became an explosive item in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Origin
Bomber debuted in Kirby's Adventure for the NES and have appeared in almost any game since. It is a small blimp like being that has 2 legs and a skull icon. They attack by walking of the edge of something, teeter, then blow itself up by falling to the ground. It is the primary source of Kirby's Crash Ability, which is a single use ability that involves Kirby blowing up everything on screen.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Trophy Description

One dangerous dude-as evidenced by the skull drawn on his body. Bomber walks around on two legs, but whenever he falls from stairs or other high places, he hits his head and explodes, covering a significant blast radius. Kirby can suck him up to learn the Crash ability, the ultimate weapon for wiping out every last enemy on the screen. Use it once and it's gone!

Trophy Description

If you think a bit of mystery is the spice of life, you'll be disappointed here. If it looks like a bomb and explodes like a bomb...it's a bomb! A cute bomb, though, I admit. If he falls or bumps into something, he'll explode. With the right timing, you can throw him at enemies and do loads of damage!
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Bomber spawns walking around, similarly to a Bob-omb. If left alone, he will eventually topple off an edge and slow down time before detonating in a large, powerful explosion, much like in its original series.
Bomber can also be used as a held item. When used by pressing the attack button, the user will lift it above their head for several seconds, much like the Special Flag. Doing this will slow down time before Bomber detonates, resulting in a massive explosion around the user that deals heavy damage and knockback to any nearby opponents. This does not harm the user, but if held and left unused, Bomber will eventually detonate after a set timer, which can harm the user as well. If Bomber is hit with an attack as he is walking around, this will also trigger him to explode.
Spirits
Bomber appears as a spirit. If this spirit, as well as the Electrode, Crash Man or Subspace Bomb spirit, the equipped item causes the Bomber to appear at the start in a player's hand.

Trivia
- The fact that Crash Man provides the equipped fighter with one references the name of the ability it yields.
- However, Crash Bomber, the weapon Mega Man gets from beating Crash Man, is not a single use ability in its source games (Though it only has a limited ammo amount of seven uses).
