Mel
"Hey, don't be rude! I apologize. Branky needs to have his mouth washed out."
Mel is a ventriloquist and has traveled around with her wolf puppet Branky. She believes that her puppet has a life of its own, but everybody believes that she's just making the doll talk. Her puppet always seems to say rude things to people, so she punishes it, as she was nothing to do with her own mischief.
Simply talk to Mel in Iksay Village and tell her about Budehuc Castle and she'll join. Note: It is recommended that you recruit her in Thomas Chapter 1, as she is one of the military characters that will help defend his castle.
Mel is a good mage, with a B+ in Pale Gate Magic, an S in Lightning Magic, and a B+ in Fire Magic. She can easily cast some of the games most devasting magic attacks, but her signature skill lies in her pre-equipped Devil's Doll Rune. When she's powered up with a Fury Rune and a Double Strike Rune, the Devil's Doll Rune will inflict the most damage in the game among all runes. She is also one of the few characters that has a Blinking Magic skill.
She travels with her doll Branky. She is a nice girl, but the doll has a bad personality.
She is right-handed. I wonder how she eats while holding Branky.
She's quite silent when she's alone in her room. I have no idea why.
She plays with Viki and Belle sometimes. The three seem quite dangerous to me.
Trivia
Mel, being a Chiku Star, is good at magic and has some sort of an animal or animal stuff with them (like Lotte, Millie, and Noah) or is an animal in general (Meroon and Nemne).
Mel follows her predecessor Millie, who is also very good with the Pale Gate Rune.
It's recommended to recruit Mel with Thomas, since she starts out at level 32 with a level 9 weapon; some very high stats for both of Thomas' chapters, which generally reach its max level around the 20's.
