Subcommander Kaol is a Romulan serving the Romulan Republic. He serves as a liaison for the player and the allied operations in the Solanae Dyson Sphere.
Missions involved
“Circles within Circles”: Players meet Subcommander Kaol upon arriving at Dyson Joint Command in the Solanae Dyson Sphere. Kaol then briefs the player on the situation there.- Dyson Joint Command Reputation missions:
- “Unexpected Friend”: Kaol informs the player of a message received from a non-military Voth contact and instructs them to open a dialogue with them in the hopes of gaining a potential ally.
- “Unsaid Thanks”: Kaol tells the player that their Voth contact, Nelen Exil has been discovered by his countrymen, and orders them to rescue him before he is captured.
- “The Temporal Front”: Kaol is present at the Alliance Summit on New Romulus.

- “Supply Woes”: Kaol instructs the player to assist with various tasks related to operations in the Allied Zone.
- “Allied Zone - Joint Command”: Kaol tasks the player with one of several missions to aid operations in the Allied Zone.
- “The Contested Zone”: Kaol sends the player to the Contested Zone of the Dyson Sphere and briefs them on the battle being waged to take control of the zone from the Voth.
- “The Omega Standoff”: Kaol instructs the player to head to the Voth Battlezone to meet Commander Arnold and gain a better understanding of the ground war being waged there.
- “Tower Control”: Kaol directs the player to assist in retaking several towers essential for control of the Contested Zone.
- “A Step Between Stars”: Kaol reveals the reason why the Solanae Dyson Sphere produces Omega molecules and assigns the player a vital role in a critical mission.
- “Fluidic Destruction”: Kaol sends the player to assist Vice Admiral Chal Rexx in the effort to secure the Undine Battlezone.
- "The Delta Quadrant"-episode
- “Escalation”: Kaol tells players about the new efforts to explore the areas of the Delta Quadrant outside the Jenolan Dyson Sphere and instructs them to report there for further orders.
