Blacksnap is a card game that was popular in the Special Zone amongst the insect population. Its name is derived from real games "Blackjack" and "Snap", but plays much more like "Poker". Although the rules are unclear, holding a hand of five queens automatically wins the player the game.
Criminal The Dice was instrumental in a plot to bankrupt or destroy a casino in the Casino Night Zone. The crook planned to destroy the establishment with two K-Boom bombs if he was not allowed to win at Blacksnap and collect as much money as he wanted. Tails was brought along to give The Dice a controlled win, but found luck to be on his side as he accidentally kept winning. After ending the game with a flush, The Dice surrendered the game and detonated the one remaining bomb. Sonic the Hedgehog was able to contain the blast and The Dice was arrested.
Known playing cards
Each card in a Blacksnap card contains pictures of insects. The highest ranking cards feature images of important insects throughout history, although lower ones simply contain generic creatures. It's possible the unknown creatures will become relevant later.
