Wayfar was a settlement on the planet Tatooine. During the Imperial Era, the Weequay Quint Cresadde was the sheriff of Wayfar.
Description
Wayfar was a settlement in the Great Chott salt flat region of the planet Tatooine. Originally a trading post it expanded overtime to include residences, utilities and various other services.[2] By 3 ABY,[3] the town also included a cantina[2]
History
Sometime before 3 ABY,[3] the Weequay pirate Quint Cresadde decided to return home to Wayfar and put her gunslinger skills to better use and eventually became the sheriff of Wayfar[2] by 3 ABY.[3]
The Weequay musician Remla Moonis created the song "Growing Old in Wayfar" about the town while trying to work on his solo album. The bartender of the Bestine Cantina allowed him to add the song to the cantina's jukebox[2] in 3 ABY.[3].
Also in 3 ABY[3] the scoundrel Kay Vess traveled to Tatooine and landed outside of Wayfar while looking for the Sullustan mercenary Hoss for a job. After approaching the sheriff to inquire about Hoss the group of thugs from the Hutt Clan came to the town to get Hoss as well. Cresadde informed them that she arrested Hoss for robbing Wayfar but had escaped. Not wanting to leave empty handed the thugs treated the towns people which resulted in a shootout where Vess and Cresadde defeated the group. After the shootout, Cresadde informed Vess that Hoss might be near an abandoned moisture farm in the Southern Jundland Wastes.[2]
After later finding out about Cresadde past, Vess approached her to help improve her blaster skills. However when she arrived back at Wayfar there was another group of Hutt Cartel mercenaries on the way. After giving Vess a quick lesson the Hutts arrived and Cresadde and Vess worked together to repel the attack.[2]
Vess was later invited into play Kessel Sabacc with Cresadde, a Trandoshan named Jurk and a Quarren named Sillin at a parlor in town. With a 200 credit buy in, Vess ended up winning and claiming the pot along with the materials needed to apply a "Golden Maru" paint job to her S57 Cardinal speeder bike.[2]
The same year, Vess was able to track down the Remla Moonis in the town for his manager Aldic Nelleer and was able to convince him to perform for Jabba Desilijic Tiure at his palace.
