- "Sila, I…I was wrong. And you were right. And right now I would give anything to hear you say I told you so, but I'm still here on Toprawa, still at the facility, and you are…who knows where you are?"
- ―Lante, in a holomessage for Sila Kott
Toprawa was a remote world located in the Outer Rim Territories in grid square P-5. The planet was situated on the Hydian Way hyperspace route, and it was the homeworld of the rebel pilot Sila Kott.
Description
Toprawa was a remote terrestrial planet located in a sparsely populated portion of the Outer Rim Territories that was not rich in resources.[3] The planet also lay within the New Territories region[2] and was situated in grid square P-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Toprawa was close to the planet Serenno[5] and connected to the celestial bodies known as Junction and Pho Ph'eah by the Hydian Way hyperspace route.[1]
A lush forest world,[3] Toprawa appeared light and dark green in color from space.[6] The planet orbited a sun and had multiple moons.[3]
History

While Toprawa was affected by criminal syndicates and cartels, the planet avoided significant attention from the Galactic Republic and later the forces of its successor, the Galactic Empire, due to the world's remoteness, which also allowed Toprawa to say away from the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.[3] By the time of the war, diehard survival enthusiasts from Toprawa designed the weapon known as the 'aKraB clip-point vibrodagger, whose function was to allow an individual to make close-quarters precision kills on large animals by slipping in between their armor plates.[7]
During the Imperial Era, the Empire maintained a research station on Toprawa concerned with upgrading the performance of Imperial fighters and developing a type of laser allegedly for mining operations.[3]
Inhabitants
Toprawa was the homeworld of the human rebel pilot Sila Kott, who perished during the Battle of Endor[4] in 4 ABY.[8]
Locations
To honor Sila Kott's contribution to liberating the galaxy, a flight school in her name was built at Toprawa.[4]
Behind the scenes
Toprawa was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the twenty-third issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, published by De Agostini[6] around June 10, 2015.[9] The depiction of Toprawa in Build the Millennium Falcon 23 reuses artwork[6] for the planet Rodia[10] from "Bombad Jedi,"[11] the eighth episode in the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series that first aired on November 21, 2008.[12] Toprawa later made its first appearance in "The Last Flight," a short story written by Ali Hazelwood and published in the 2023 anthology book From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[3]
Toprawa was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 1981 Star Wars radio dramatization, adapted by Brian Daley and produced by National Public Radio,[13] before receiving a visual depiction in Jedi Dawn, a 1993 roleplaying book written by Paul Cockburn and published by Boxtree.[14]
