Laser webs were a type of trap and security system. One example was the LaserWeb Defense Station.
History
During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems deployed a laser web, known as the LaserWeb Defense Station, around Iego as a security system to prevent people from leaving the planet. Fifty pilots, including Taquito, attempted to leave Iego. They all failed and the inhabitants believed that the laser webs were the works of Drol.[1]
