- «I've been trying to get into this exclusive jhabacc club, but they turn me away every time.»
- ―Sillin
Jhabacc was a high-stakes form of the card game sabacc. Favored guests played the game at the Outlander Club in the Uscru District of the planet Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic.[1] In 22 BBY,[3] a group of four patrons were playing jhabacc at one of the tables for high prestige guests in the club's private bar while the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi interrogated the bounty hunter Zam Wesell outside the club.[1]
The Quarren gambler Sillin repeatedly tried to join an exclusive jhabacc club, but was rejected each time.[2] In 3 ABY,[4] Sillin complained about it while sat at the table of the Sabacc parlor in the town of Wayfar on the planet Tatooine with Sheriff Quint Cresadde and the Trandoshan Jurk.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, jhabacc was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. It was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton, illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen, and marked the first mention of the game in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[5]
