- "Press the attack. Deploy our infantry—every last soldier."
- ―General Grievous during the Battle of Zanbar

Infantry was the branch of an army consisting of soldiers trained to fight on foot. Infantrymen, colloquially referred to as "grunts," were also collectively known as ground forces. In order to survive on the battlefield, they relied on their training and equipment almost as much as they relied on one another.[2] Every member of the Resistance received infantry training.[3]
