Role in series

His burial site, appropriately titled "Davy Jones' locker," is a place where all bad sea creatures stay in the afterlife, which makes it the underwater equivalent to Hell and the opposite of Atlantis, the underwater equivalent of Heaven.

In "SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One," Davy makes a live-action appearance with the Flying Dutchman, as he sings a few words of "Daydream Believer," as he was a lead vocalist of The Monkees, the pop rock group whom originally performed the song. His locker is a gym locker, filled with Davy's gym socks, which have a horrid smell.

In "Born Again Krabs," Mr. Krabs is banished to the locker, but Davy is not there.

"SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One" is his only ever live-action appearance in the series.

In both the episodes "The Curse of Bikini Bottom" and "Krusty Kleaners," he appears as a dead skeleton.
