Norris is a character in System Shock 2. He was the senior flight officer on the Von Braun.
Background
Norris documented that someone on Command Deck had changed the code for the Security Station. He correctly suspected that Myers was the culprit.
Eventually, Norris was converted into an Annelid Hybrid after meeting Korenchkin, on 8th or 9th of July, 2114. Previously he experienced dreams, likely sent to him by the Many, as he slowly lost his individuality.
Shortly after allowing an Annelid Grub to settle on him, it inspired Norris with the specifications for a weapon, later revealed to be the Annelid Launcher (or the Worm Launcher). It is implied that Norris is the creator of this armament.
Trivia
Norris was based on Brian Norris of St. Louis, MO, the winner of Looking Glass Studios' "Get Killed by SHODAN" contest.[1]
