Simon Northwood (born February 12, 1968) is an actor and stuntman best known for his roles in Code 8, Random Acts of Violence, Tainted, and Clarice.
He played the Lead SWAT Officer in Saw 3D.
Early Life
Simon Northwood was born in Wimbledon, England, on February 12, 1968. His father has been a Carnival Cruise Director for over 20 years. In 1980, Northwood's family moved between the United States and Canada until they finally settled in Burlington, Ontario. In 1985, he became interested in martial arts and competed for over 20 years, attaining a 4th degree black belt in Wado Kai Karate. He was a member of the Canadian National Karate team in 2000.
Career
During his training years, Northwood began attending animation courses at Sheridan College in 1992. He worked in the industry for ten years and was hired by Disney Studios Canada as an FX animator. However, he eventually opted out of animation and pursued his passion for acting and stunt acting. Therefore, Northwood took acting classes and training, aspiring to become an actor doing his own stunts on-screen.
