Kiritaka Muse (キリタカ・ミューズ) is a trade representative of Priestella and the owner of the Muse Company. He is the last survivor of the Priestellan Council of Ten. Though initially making his debut in a side story, Kiritaka played a passive, yet rather strong supporting role throughout Arc 5.
Appearance
Kiritaka has pale gold hair that's carefully smoothed toward the back of his head. He has a tall and thin body and wears well-tailored clothes with a limited number of adornments which make him look refined.
Personality
As one of the major merchants of Priestella, Kiritaka has a sense of dignity and self-worth, and is shown to be educated based on his words and actions. He is skilled as a merchant, making him constantly busy. Every morning, he uses the broadcast meteors in the city center building to broadcast in order to let the citizens know that it would be used in emergencies.
Kiritaka has a strange obsession with younger girls and puts emphasis in whether a woman looks young rather than their actual age or mentality. Currently, he claims that his heart has been stolen by Liliana Masquerade and tends to get out of control when things involve her, such as the time he attacked Subaru when he saw him with conversing with her.
Despite this, Kiritaka is shown to have honorable qualities, as when the Witch Cult attacked his company during the Battle for Priestella, he was intent on sacrificing himself to let Anastasia escape.
Abilities
White Dragon's Scales (白竜の鱗, Hakuryū no Uroko): Kiritaka hired a mercenary group, known as the White Dragon's Scales, to be his personal bodyguards. The group consists of highly skilled individuals, who are more than capable of protecting Kiritaka, when needed. During the fight with the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, most of the members had their names eaten and were put in suspended animation, with Dynas Trussardi and some others managing to escape the same fate. Following Lye's death, it's unknown if they have already regained their names.
Leadership: Although normally a merchant, Kiritaka has shown to be an excellent leader, which has allowed him to rise up to the Priestellan Council of Ten. Despite being the only member active throughout the Battle for Priestella due to the deaths of the others, he quickly responded to the Witch Cult’s attack by leading everyone to shelters and deciding to make use of his company as both a medical station and the temporary headquarters of the resistance. Likewise, he had the foresight to have everyone moved after a short period of its use to counter a surprise attack.
Trivia
- Despite behavior demonstrated during the story, the author claims Kiritaka is only pretending to be a lolicon and just genuinely likes Liliana.[1]
